Creative, tenacious, and compassionate health professional.
Hi, I’m Ali…
I am dedicated to bridging the gap between research and real-world impact. Clear, accessible, and engaging communication is essential to ensuring reliable information reaches individuals, communities, clinicians, and the health systems they work within.
I earned my B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a minor in Public Policy from The George Washington University, graduating summa cum laude as a Presidential Scholar.
I later completed my post-baccalaureate certificate in pre-medical studies at Johns Hopkins University, further strengthening my scientific foundation.
At the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), I develop strategic communications for clinical trials and other research initiatives. I create newsletters, feature articles, social media content, and website materials to enhance engagement and broadcast their important work.
I have previously contributed to neonatal neurology research at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, analyzing biomarkers of newborn brain injury, and supported research on neurodiverse social development at The George Washington University’s Developmental Social Neuroscience Lab.
Personally, I have managed nonprofit communications and served as a mental health crisis helpline volunteer, always pushing for patient advocacy.
Skilled in content strategy, writing, and design, I am dedicated to making complex information impactful and accessible.
